Sioux City Explorers outfielder D鈥橲hawn Knowles and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks starter Jake Dykhoff won the 天美直播鈥檚 Rawlings batter and pitcher of the month in August, the league announced Monday.
Knowles was a big reason why the Explorers clinched the top spot in the West division as he hit .367 in August with six doubles, three triples, three homers and 19 runs batted in.
Not to mention his impact on the base paths, where he stole 22 bases in August alone and scored 27 runs.聽
Knowles is in year two with Sioux City after joining last season for 23 games. He previously played in the Los Angeles Angels organization between 2018-2024. He鈥檚 up to 49 stolen bases on the season and a .285 batting average.
On the pitching side, Dykhoff led the league with a 1.21 ERA in the month of August across four starts and 29.2 innings pitched, one of which included a complete game shut-out.
He went a perfect 4-0 in the month and allowed just one walk and four earned runs. Dykhoff leads the league by a good margin with his 1.63 ERA on the season and is tied for the league-lead with 11 victories.聽
This is his second season in Fargo after posting a 2.21 ERA across 42 relief appearances in 2024. This year it鈥檚 been a mix of relieving and starting with 27 total appearances and 10 starts.
